1. IDEA
HERITAGE

Located in an 1800’s building in the historic Bonjardim street in the center of Porto, this project consisted on the conversion of a 120 m2 apartment into 2 smaller apartments. Recapturing the old charm of the building was the main driver of this rehabilitation.

2. PROCESS
PRESERVATION

Central yet quiet, this area of the city is full of old, understated charm. This quality inspired this rehabilitation: bringing back the glamour of the original construction while adding modern day comfort.





3. SOLUTION
VINTAGE 

This is a West facing, sunset apartment. The quality and play of light varies from throughout the day and its warmth dictated the layouts, finishes, and decoration. The warm of the light and original wod is balanced by the uncovered granite walls.
